Futures, CFDs and spread bets are high risk; most retail traders lose money. Education only, not advice. Risk warning

How we make money

In short: Good Trading Guide is free to use. Right now there are no affiliate links, adverts or sponsored articles on the site. Some links to prop firms or brokers may become affiliate links in future, and if they do, we’ll label them clearly. Money never decides what we rank, review or teach.

Free education

Every lesson, guide, tool and calculator on Good Trading Guide is free. You don’t need an account, and we’ll never put the lessons behind a paywall.

We may later add affiliate links to some prop firms or brokers. Here’s how they would work:

  • If you click one of those links and sign up or buy, the firm may pay us a commission.
  • It costs you nothing extra. You pay the same price as you would going direct.
  • Every affiliate link will be marked (Ad) before you click it, and any page that is mainly about firms we earn from will say so at the top.
  • Commissions never affect our rankings, reviews or lessons. We only name firms on merit, and we’ll include firms we don’t earn from where they belong.

Low-cost guides and workbooks (possibly in future)

We may in future sell our own low-cost guides and workbooks, such as a printable trading plan and journal. They’ll be our own products, everything you need to learn will stay free on the site, and they’ll never promise profits or a challenge pass.

No paid placements

We don’t sell paid placements. Firms can’t pay to appear in our lessons, to be ranked or rated higher, or to have criticism removed.

Firms don’t pay for or review our content

No broker or prop firm has paid us anything, and no firm sees, approves or edits our content before it’s published. If a firm we write about ever becomes a commercial partner, what our lessons say won’t change.

We’re not FCA-authorised and don’t give advice

Good Trading Guide is general education. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and nothing on this site is financial advice or a personal recommendation. We don’t offer trading accounts, hold client money or arrange trades. Please read our risk warning before you trade or buy a prop firm challenge.
